ARE

The Architect Registration Examination (ARE) is developed ­by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB). The ARE is used by U.S. state and territorial registration boards as the registration examination for candidates for architectural registration. It is also accepted by select Canadian provincial and territorial architectural associations for registration.­ For an overview provided by NCARB, click here

Please note that per NCARB,­all divisions must be completed within a 5 year period, following a passing grade of one division of the ARE.­­ ­CLICK HERE­­­ ­for more information.

NCARB offers "cloud based" practice exams to all­My NCARB account holders. At just $10 for an annual subscription, the new service offers easy, affordable, and unlimited online access to the practice programs.­The Council will continue to offer the practice programs compatible with 32-bit systems for free on NCARB.org.
